The house was everything we could have hoped for and more! Well stocked from the kitchen, to board games, entertainment center, outdoor fun...this place has it all. The view from the deck is amazing, the yard was so huge and private, the house was extremely comfortable for our large family, and of course you can't beat being able to flyfish and wade in the river right from your backyard. Really not a thing to complain about. Great place in a great location made for a very memorable family vacation!

This cabin was very spacious for my family and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and they gave a new towels for the hot tub. It was like a home away from home. We were so comfortable we didn't even get a chance to explore outside much. They kids loved the game room and the master bathroom was my piece of heaven with the jacuzzi bath every morning. It was clean and management was always available and helpful when needed. Definitely recommend and will return for a longer stay next time.

Perfect vacation getaway

The home is exactly as shown, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, the non-stick pans are peeling though, so bring your own. Comfy outdoor furniture, full view of the backyard. The river is only accessible via a small path to one part of it, not really 200ft accessibility, overgrown vegetation blocks most of it, we still enjoyed wading in it. Overall, would return.

Great family get away. We are a large family and the amount of room was great. The only reason I gave a 4/5 for location is because finding the home was a little difficult in the dark. Over all great place.

This property worked perfect for our group of seven and 3 dogs! The house was very comfortable for us! We cooked our traditional Thanksgiving dinner! Watched our favorite college football rivalries, played games and took long walks everyday! I would recommend this home to anyone who loves being up in the woods!

This home was warm & inviting sitting close to the riverbank. Plenty of room for 8. Close to amenities and historic town of Roslynn. The snowfall the day before our arrival added to the beauty of the surroundings & tall pine trees. This was a great getaway for my family to escape the hustle & bustle of city noise.

The matriarch of the family is dying of cancer and we wanted a special holiday with her. We all quarantined for 10 days, got tested within 48 hours of going, and Mom/Dad, son/family and daughter/family were all able to be there. The layout of the space allowed for private time and bathroom for mom while the rest of us could be in the living room. The large downstairs gave the kids (in their 20’s less one 14 y/o) ample space to hang by themselves and the large bedroom reminded them of their young days all sleeping together in camp out and house forts! The house was wonderfully stocked with supplies and was beautifully decorated for the holiday. The property was wonderful to explore and take daily walks. The river was close and added to the scenery. The only nitpick would be to turn the cover on the hot tub. The way it sits now completely blocks the view of the yard and river. But again, this is VERY minor. As we began the checkout process our father remarked to all of us how wonderful the time had been and how he could not think of one other thing that would have made this trip better (we were hoping for more snow but hey, that’s no ones fault). An absolute wonderful experience that I can see us repeatedly doing at this location for a while. Highly recommend for your stay.

Private, with all the right amenities. Only complaint is that the lawn sprinklers were running a cycle all day and into the evening, making those areas unusable.

This was a great place. It is a great location on the river and the house is itself is great! Everything was really clean and we felt safe during COVID times. The river is wonderful, and you are also close to many other things. It was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 2 children. Lots of room and the lawn is very big so you can play games and stuff. We would definitely want to come back!

We loved the seclusion of the property. It felt so far away, but was actually conveniently located (short drive) near stores and restaurants and to the freeway. The backyard was amazing and the private access to the river was a dream. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were newly remodeled. Our only complaints, and these are just me being nitpicky, were: 1. the light switches weren't intuitive so it would be nice to have them all labeled; 2. more bath towels! 3. AC was tough to control in the basement--it was freezing downstairs, but perfectly comfortable upstairs. 4. this is probably more of a municipality issue, but there was no recycling so we ended up bringing cans/bottles home to recyle. Overall, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend this listing.

We vacationed at Yakima River Retreat over the Christmas holiday. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. It is a lot bigger than appears. Everything was incredibly clean (and I am picky!) and the kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was wonderful and the basement area was a lot brighter than appears in the pictures. Diana and Amanda at Vacation 365 were wonderful to work with. They got us an early check in and were responsive when we had some electrical issues in the kitchen. There was a flickering light in the kitchen so the maintenance guy replaced the bulbs with a type that could be on the dimmer switch and then that did the trick. However there were four outlets in the kitchen and a light above the sink that didn't work. They think it was due to a broken ground wire and couldn't be fixed while we were there. We didn't care for the dimmer light in the kitchen and the kitchen always seemed dark. Overall the place was fantastic and I would recommend it to others.

Great space for our group. Loved the field by the river for games in the snow, and the house was perfect for everything else. Thought the TVs would have been connected to network tv at least based on the pictures highlighting them, but wasn’t a big deal for us. Very responsive hosts.

From top to bottom this house was perfect. We had 6 adults and 3 children with us for this trip and the layout suited our needs to perfection. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we didn't venture into town the whole weekend except to get groceries. The views from the house were wonderful accented by the surrounding trees and river. The jacuzzi was a great way to relax after dinner. The indoor shuffle board, puzzled and board games were perfect to entertain the kids. We will definitely be booking this property again.

We had a great time. House is big and could easily accommodate 2 families. Close enough to hear the river and enjoy the deer that came bu for a quick drink. We were bummed that the new hot tub was coming the day after we left but it will be there for the next time!

We loved the property and being able to walk down to the river. The deck was great and the neighborhood had fun little trails to explore. Two things that I found unfortunate, my family searched the home for this special remote that they provided 2 laminated instruction sheets to be able to turn on the surround sound for inside and outside of the house. I called the manager who picked up immediately, which I really appreciate! There is no remote and the surround sound is no longer functioning. It also had instructions on how to use the hot tub, there is no hot tub at this home. The only other item I would recommend is that the grill be cleaned not just the grill plates. Overall it was an excellent stay. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep and play! They had a super fun game there that we bought on our way home!! We appreciated such a comfortable and fun place to have our annual family vacation. Thank you!

A Family Favorite with Stunning Views, Luxurious Amenities, and Cozy Comfort!

This cabin is not a cabin at all but a really spacious beautiful lodge style home. We host our 3 adult children and their spouses each year and we all voted that by far this was our favorite cabin location yet. The drive is easy including the snowy road into the cabin from the main road. It was picturesque, super quiet and you have absolutely no idea you are anywhere near the freeway from the home. Deer wandered throughout the weekend and the view of the nearby river completed the fairy tale scenery. Add into that a nice hot jetted tub soak overlooking that beautiful setting, from the warmth of the very luxurious master bathroom, completes the restful stay for us. Normally the kids "draw straws" for the order of who gets to pick their bedrooms, but this lodge had 4 equally beautiful rooms with equally luxurious bathrooms that they all were really happy and cozy. The game room downstairs offered the "kids" their own space to play table games and the huge dining table upstairs is perfect for our large family dinners and afterwards our nightly board games for 8 players. The WiFi was excellent with no down time, the kitchen was excellently stocked and all the instructions were not only not burdensome but super clear and helpful. Check-in was as easy as receiving a text with all the check info including some info about the nearby restaurants etc. We planned to use the outdoor fire pit (or should I say one of the two) but unfortunately there was a burn ban in effect during our stay. But next time.... We would definitely come back to this lodge for summer or winter stays. And let's keep this a little bit on the DL but the rate was super reasonable in my opinion based on the quality and size of the home.

Our annual family gathering was wonderful and we couldn't have been happier with the property. The house and grounds were clean when we arrived. The house is very comfortable, with appropriate linens, towels, and kitchen supplies. Minor opportunities for improvement: The kitchen lighting could be improved, and we were unable to adjust the heat as the screen required a code. It wasn't a big deal as the house was set to 70 degrees which was fine. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect house for 5 longtime college friends to get together on our annual trip. The House was great! We do a lot of cooking and the House was well stocked with most cooking equipment which is always important to us. The Yakima Retreat was a GREAT home for a family getaway! The location was AWESOME! From being right on the Yakima River.We especially enjoyed throwing football/frisbee in the yard, relaxing by the fire pit at night, and playing games in the living room.

This home was a great place for us to spend 4 nights with our kids. We had 4 adults and 3 teens 2 boys and 1 girl. Plenty of room for eveyone to relax and play games. The river is a quick walk out back and the property is huge and very private. Excellent value for us close to Seattle but you feel far away. We took long walks and played games made meals. Kids never once turned on a TV ! We will be back this summer.

Highly recommend this place for a peaceful beautiful stay. I was able to comfortably fit my family of 14 in this cabin, plenty of sleeping options, large space, great game room area. The hosts were amazing with communication and check ins. The short walk to the river was absolutely stunning. The amenities and surroundings were awesome.Only recommendation for future guests would be to try to arrive before sunset. Stayed here with family for a few nights and it was such a relaxing, beautiful spot. The house is huge and everyone had more than enough space and amenities. The only thing I’d note is that the photos make the water seem like you have an unobstructed view, but you really have to walk down to the water through a short little path to really see it. Not a problem, just something to be aware of if you’re expecting a water view from the home itself. Once you do get down to the water it’s a stunning view. The whole property is super secluded, peaceful, roomy, and accommodating for small or larger groups. There’s nearby trails to walk, and for dinning- the charming little town of Roslyn is a short drive away. Would absolutely recommend if relaxation and seclusion in the woods is your vibe!

This is a true hidden gem. The seclusion and privacy is wildly understated. Not only is this place extremely convenient to get to, right off I-90, but it’s truly secluded. With views of a river. One of the most well stocked kitchens. Plenty of beds and rooms for everyone to have their own space. Perfect for accessing the central cascade parks, trails, and lakes. Excellent deck with bbq and propane fire table. Easy check in and clear/efficient check out. Overall excellent stay.

So many things to do right there at the property. The garage game room was great for the kids and you can’t beat being right on the river. Great communication with property management company as well. Wonderful stay overall, highly recommend!

Truly, we enjoyed this property so much. It didn’t necessarily grab us visually initially, but we fell in love with the coziness. The couches are comfortable, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. it was such a treat having the games room, the piano, and the river right there. One of the biggest surprises was how much we enjoyed the town of Cle Elum. it’s really sweet! Not just because of its popularity from that hit 90s TV show, but it has everything you need and more! A meat market, a fish market, a few bakeries, a few coffee shops, a few good restaurants and more. Highly recommend this rental.

Our family had a wonderful time here. Our kids loved the game room in the two car garage. While us adults loved taking the folding chairs down to the river and siting in the chairs while our feet stayed in the water on a hot summer day. We even enjoyed watching the locals fly fishing the river. It would be a great place to have a two family/friend gathering.

Great family home. Lots of space. Highly recommend and would definitely return. Great sled hill right in the yard. Husbands fished the river. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Only a couple of negatives, but definitely not deal breakers. Lots of dog poop in the yard from neighborhood dogs that we had to clean so the kids didn’t step in it. Yuck. Also, microwave was straight out of the 80’s and didn’t work great. We tried to pop popcorn and it didn’t go great. Maybe half of the bag popped. Again, not a deal breaker, just good info to be aware of. Last was the spiders in the basement. We had to do daily sweeps to kill the spiders or else the kids refused to sleep down there, especially after one fell off of the ceiling onto one of the kids!!

My family and I along with a few friends rented the Yakima River Retreat for a week long getaway and we couldn’t have been more pleased! The house is a beautiful Lindell style log home that is very well kept. The grounds are beautiful with lots of space to enjoy the serenity of the river below. The rooms are spacious, giving the 10 of us more than enough space relax in our own spaces. The kitchen is THE MOST well stocked kitchen I’ve ever found from a vacation rental, and not just in volume! The appliances, cookware and cutlery are quality. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub throughout the week, but for me, nothing beats that riverfront access. It’s incredible. Yes, there are cross river neighbors, but you hardly see them. Yes, the Interstate is close but you rarely hear it. We floated the river, dropping in to the west and floating back down to the property, which was a great experience. There are yard games and we even left our tubes for the next family to enjoy. We even had a potential issue with railroad maintenance hindering accessibility to the cabin, but Derek from VR365 contacted the powers that be to endure we had an alternate route in just in case. I have rented 4-5 homes in the Cle Elum area through the years and this is my favorite, by far. We will be back!!

We wanted a change of scenery in a secluded location and this home delivered, despite being an hour from Seattle. Great access to river my son "fished" in and threw rocks in. We didn't see another person, despite nearby houses, it was very quiet.

This cabin is excellent. Easy to get to, spacious, and loaded with amenities to make the stay easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. Our group went during winter as part of a snowmobiling weekend for a friend and it was everything and more. I'm kind of tempted to go back during summer as it sits on the Yakima River and has a nicely developed yard/patio. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely, well thought out home! The space was so inviting, everything was clean and good quality. We had 3 couples and our Golden Retriever and it never felt crowded. We could have easily invited another couple and still have had room for everyone! Nice river access, beautiful landscaping! The only drawback for us was the timer for the fireplace. We didn’t have the tv on, and didn’t figure out SONOS until the second day, so the timer was a constant background noise, ticking and ticking and ticking. But once you figure out the music and/or turn the tv on for Sunday football, you no longer notice it.

Every summer for the last 10 years or so my buddies from college and I get together somewhere in the mountains for a reunion to fish, hike, have some cocktails, eat too much, etc. This house was probably the best house we have ever rented. The house is just as pictured and felt even bigger. Very clean, very well cared for, well stocked kitchen, HUGE back area that backs right on the Yakima River. It was great to walk right out on a warm day into the river to give the trout an opportunity to laugh at my attempts to catch them. We would love to return in future years.

My family of 5 (all adults) plus 2 furry kids, needed a weekend getaway and this was perfect. Secluded yet close to town. The train is obviously close by, but we found it soothing.

Loved the house, very accommodating. Beautiful situation. Just far enough away from the train for it to sound romantic. Within walking distance of the Iron Horse Trail. Easy access from I-5 (but consider chains in snowy weather). Hope we can get back there next year!

For 25 years my closest high school friends and I have been getting together for an annual weekend gathering. We had 11 of us this year, and the Yakima River Retreat was perfect in every way! Plenty of beds and space. Great deck and yard area with direct access to river. Very cool. We will be back!

The Yakima Retreat was a GREAT home for a family getaway! The location was AWESOME! From being right on the Yakima River.We especially enjoyed throwing football/frisbee in the yard, relaxing by the fire pit at night, and playing games in the living room.

Very nice property in a great location. Single zone heat/air thermostat making it very hard to get the basement bedrooms to warm up due to the thermostat being upstairs beside the fireplace.

The owner has made some wonderful updates throughout the entire home, one of which was the addition of the large lower bedroom. The heating system can be challenging for the downstairs bedrooms if the gas fireplace is left on for hours and when the upstairs temperature reaches 72+ degrees. This will cause the heating system to turn off. We recommend turning the gas fireplace off a few hours before going to bed to help increase and maintain the lower bedroom heat. This house is fantastic. Four adults spent a wonderful long weekend enjoying the house and the property. We only have four small suggestions: 1. the lighting throughout the house is much too dim. Kitchen and bedrooms need more light. instructions are inaccurate. need updating 3.wish there were more condiments like basic olive oil, ketchup,mayo and the like so we don't have to buy or bring them. 4. wish the kitchen knives were better, their dull knifes are dangerous. All minor, we will absolutely come back.

Thank you for hosting us at the Yakima River Retreat! It was scenic and relaxing. Your backyard was perfect for lawn games. The beds and showers were comfy and clean. The house was a little dark, but who wants to be inside anyway? My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer.
My advice to future guests: Don't wash your car before you come up... nice, but dusty gravel road.

The Yakima Retreat was a GREAT home for a family getaway! The location was AWESOME! From being right on the Yakima River, steps away from Iron Horse Trail, and just a quick drive from Roslyn and Suncadia, the home had something for everyone. Very relaxing to BBQ on the deck, and hang out in the yard! Our extended family of 10 had a great vacation! The kids already asked if we could go back again! Thank you very much! Only downside was the mean Bugs, but not sure you can do anything about that one! :)

A quiet, off the beaten path location for a large group of friends to get together for a few days. The house was perfect and was an excellent home base for our exploration of the surrounding mountains. We especially enjoyed throwing football/frisbee in the yard, relaxing by the fire pit at night, and playing games in the living room.

This was a great property for our group. We loved how welcoming and comfortable it was. The master suite is enormous, and the remodeled downstairs was great for an entire family to stay in. This is definitely a place on our list to try and come back to.

First family getaway

Our family finally got everyone together for a full weekend. This house was such a great fit! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was big with a great view. The river view and yard was amazing. We went for long walks in the woods and played countless shuffle board. We would like to return again soon.

Before I begin: the VR365 team is fantastic - this is our 5 or 6th vac rental with them – truly amazing customer service.
As for the house: great layout, fabulous property. All bathrooms are remodeled and beautiful (master bath is out-of-this-world). I guess comfortable is the word, comfy beds, decent furniture, nothing too fancy (IKEA sheets, Walmart dinnerware) but just right. Helpful labels/directions throughout the house. Wonderful master bedroom with patio access. Awesome living area – large kitchen, dining room and plenty of seating options in the living space. Kids bdroom was perfect.
Few suggestions: More dining chairs would be nice (only 6). The queen bedroom downstairs could use an upgrade so it's more in line with bedrooms upstairs. Sadly, wifi wasn't great and the dvd player didn't work - I'd recommend getting a new Blu-ray player. Lastly, we had some heating issues which got taken care off immediately (thanks again!).
All-in-all, we had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend: unforgettable views from the house, the river in the back, the proximity to Seattle... it was truly a perfect getaway for our three families.

What a beautiful get away! The cabin is very Beautiful with lots of room! We were comfortable and enjoyed the grounds. Very secluded and we could listen to the river! I was not ready to leave, I will be back!

We came with our family of 12 and found a beautiful roomy and comfortable home in a gorgeous setting of privacy amongst the beautiful tall trees and even a river close by within sight.
We played games, relaxed and visited. It was all there. We had a great time. We want to return.

The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. We had 4 couples and two teenagers with us and everyone had a nice bed and slept comfortably. The property is beautiful and provides opportunities for a variety of outdoor activities. It's convienently located to town and golfing. The management team was very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

This home was a great place for us to spend 4 nights with our kids. We had 4 adults and 3 teens 2 boys and 1 girl. Plenty of room for eveyone to relax and play games. The river is a quick walk out back and the property is huge and very private. Excellent value for us close to Seattle but you feel far away. We took long walks and played games made meals. Kids never once turned on a TV ! We will be back this summer

My friends and I had a great time at Yakima River Retreat! It was a short drive from Seattle, allowing us quickly make ourselves and home and get down to business of relaxing and catching up! We made good use of the hot tub and loved having the John Wayne Trail within walking (or snowshoeing) distance from the house. Woke up Saturday morning to a couple dozen deer in the back yard by the river. Of course, we loved the proximity to Suncadia and Roslyn! It was hard to pack up and go home. We all talked about staying another day and we'd love to come experience Yakima River Retreat in the summer, too.

Overall the house was cozy and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The bathroom renos are amazing, so hopefully the kitchen will happen soon, too! Our only trouble was the hot tub went into economy mode our last night and was a little chilly.

This was a wonderful escape for 10 adults. We loved the spacious, comfortable living room and the many amenities. We enjoyed grilling and enjoying the hot tub while snow was falling. The house was clean and well appointed. The area had been experiencing some flooding just prior to our stay but when I called to inquire about how the state of the property the response was very prompt and they had just been to check at the house. Everything was great!

This is a beautiful home and location. We had 6 adults and 3 children under 8 and all had a great time and experience. Our sons got in two days of fly fishing on the Yakima river and caught several fish and really enjoyed their time on the river. We had several family meals utilizing the outdoor grill and the fully equipped kitchen. Having multiple bedrooms and bathrooms were a real bonus. The house was beautifully done and furnished and very clean.

We had a group of 10, ranging in ages from 3 to 80. All found something to enjoy at this house. We loved the river access, and the big back yard, and the fountain. House was alsom very nice, especially the bathrooms. Very secluded, but only a 5 minute drive to the grocery store in Cle Elum.

This place was absolutely beautiful. Secluded and next to a river, couldn't ask for more. The house is huge, clean and has all the amenities you would need. We had so much fun playing volleyball, running around in the huge backyard and watching people go down the river. Had a blast at Cle Elum Lake, about 20 mins away. Grocery store and gas station within 10 minutes away, making it convenient for last minute items. Overall we are very satisfied with the house. The only down fall, freezer was not cold enough, it melted our ice cream. Derek and Calli were awesome! Always there to answer my questions and was very attentive. We're definitely booking this place again for future annual family vacation if we are in the area. I strongly recommend this place, absolutely amazing!!!

We had an amazing time at this house! The house looks like the pictures. The grounds are much bigger and nicer than the pictures would lead you to believe. We were very busy with a wedding so we did not get to spend as much time as we would have liked. Definitely will consider staying here again.

house was super clean, cute cabin feel with lots of room for a big family or group. jacuzzi tub, new bathrooms. Kitchen had all the basics. huge yard. love the riverfront, people were flyfishing down the way. bring your bikes, walking distance to the iron horse trail. Would stay here again.

This rental experience was A+! We have rented over 10 vacation homes/places and this was the best rental experience we have had. The staff is so effecient and professional. We had absolutely zero problems, does that ever happen?

This home is breathtaking and words are not adequate to describe the feelings that you have staying in it. Our only regret- not staying longer. We will be back. There is so much room in this home, it is amazing. The river flows right behind the house, which is so fun. We tubed down the river. We came to Cle Elum for a High School graduation that was held in Ellensburg. This home was super convenient because although it's nestled away for privacy and a relaxing getaway location it is also convenient to Highway 90 access quickly. We had 3 teens with us and 4 more that visited and they all loved the place! The volleyball net was the biggest hit- It sets up nicely on the lawn and some played while others tubed the river. The grill is amazing. The outdoor furniture is very accommodating. This home has a spa-like (zen type) garden in the back which is so relaxing. This home is perfect in every way and we absolutely, without reservation recommend to anyone to stay here if you are visiting Cle Elum. It's AWESOME!
