Winter 2022 Suncadia Activity Guide
The winter in Suncadia Resort is a magical time. There are so many different fun-filled activities to enjoy! You can go on a magical sleigh ride, go ice skating, or slide down a sledding hill on an inner tube. And that's just scratching the surface!
Activities
Suncadia has the classic winter activities that everyone knows and loves: ice skating, sledding, and skiing! Ice skating is available for all ages at the Suncadia ice skating rink. Then, after you've had a fun-filled day, you can warm yourself with a cup of hot coacoa. Suncadia also has community skating available for food donations that will help to support the local fishline (Only on select dates; please see Suncadia's Winter Activity Book for more details)
My personal favorite winter activity is flying down Suncadia's inner tube sledding hill! This hill has a rope tow, so you don't have to worry about lugging your inner tube back up the hill, the rope will do the work for you! This is a wonderful activity for all ages.
Nelson Farm Activities
Nelson Farm at Suncadia Resort has a wide variety of fun activies to try with the whole family. You can try axe throwing, tie-dye an article of clothing, or participate in their snow person contest! These activies are available Friday - Sunday, perfect for a weekend getaway.
If you're looking for an activity for the adults, there's a canvas and cocktails activity where you can try your hand at acrylic painting or charcoal drawing, all while enjoying a signature cocktail from Suncadia! You will have a great time and be able to create a piece of art that will stay with you forever.
Outdoor Recreation
Skiing: Whether you are are just learning how to cross-country ski, or you have been skiing for years, Suncadia is where you will want to be! They offer beginners cross-country skiing classes that will prepare you for the wonderful trails all around the resort. If you already have all the skills you need, you can rent equipment from Suncadia's Winter Shop and enjoy one of Suncadia's guided cross-country ski tours!
Snowshoing: If you are more of a snowshoer, and less of a skiier, there's a wonderful Snowshoe and Brew Tour that will take you on a tour of Roslyn, ending up at the historical The Brick Tavern for a local brew. Or, if you're not interested in getting a drink, you can take one of Suncadia's other snowshoing tours! There's plenty to choose from, so you're sure to find one that you like. If you are just learning how to snowshoe, you can take an introduction to snowshoing class that will teach you all of the skills you will need for a wonderful winter adventure.
Snowmobiling: When you want to go a little faster than you would on foot, you can enjoy one of Suncaida's guided snowmobile tours! There's a one-hour tour and a two-hour tour available so that you can take in the pristine winter landscapes that Washington state has to offer. Tours will end back at Suncadia resort with snacks and a warm drink to fight off the blistering cold. If you want to create your own adventure, you can rent snowmobiles that will be delivered to your trailhead so that you can enjoy the snowmobile trails at your own pace.
Fly Fishing: As if winter in Suncadia resort couldn't get any better, there is also fly fishing trips that are available! There are two options to choose from: a Walk and Wade fishing trip, or a Float fishing trip. Either way, you are sure to have some fun trying to catch some local trout! Dining at Suncadia
After a long day of exploring the fantastic winter wonderland, you are going to work up quite the appetite. Good thing Suncaida has numerous wonderful dining options to choose from. Whether you are looking to just enjoy a seasonal coctail at the FIFTY lounge, or taste some captivating cuisine at Portals Restaurant, your taste buds are in for a treat!
The Spa at Suncadia
Whether you prefer to enjoy the snow at a distance, or just to treat yourself in between winter adventures, you can rest and relax at the Spa. There are hot stone massages, saunas, scrubs, and more! Enjoy yourself with The Unwind Spa Pass, where you can relax in Suncadia's sanctuary, steam rooms, and mineral baths for up to 2 hours.
Winter Gear Rentals
As we have alluded to earlier in this article, guests are welcome to rent any equipment they may need from Suncadia's Winter Shop at the Prospector. Open daily from 10am - 4pm. You can get snowshoes, skiis, and more! No need to worry about bringing your own gear from home; Suncadia has you covered!
